International Tourism Exchange (BIT) Slated For Feb 2019Posted by On


BIT – International Travel Exhibition will make a return to Milan from the 10th to the 12th of February 2019. The historic event which has been in existence since 1980 is organized by Fiera Milano. Over the past three decades, the event has brought a vast number of travelers and tourists from across the world to Lombardy.

Just like in 2018, the event will be held in Fieramilanocity and MiCo pavilions in the heart of Milan. In the later part of the year, Milan also played host to SFORTEC, a technical and subcontracting exhibition. The celebration of the event has now taken a new formula where the first day is open to the general public while the remaining two days are reserved for tour operators, industry professionals, and buyers.

Through its years of existence, BIT has been at the forefront of promoting interaction between industry experts, decision makers, and curated buyers from geographic areas with the most economic growth rate. The event is also formative; comprising of over 100 seminars and conferences on the latest trends in the industry.

What Favored The Choice Of Milan?

After the last edition, GRS, a research, business intelligence, customer satisfaction, and value creation business conducted a study by collating visitor ratings which revealed that over 91.6 percent of the BIT participants believed Milan was the perfect city for the tourism fair for a number of reasons.

Milan is also regarded as the Italian Style capital and this adds glamor to the event. The event has been promoted by many experts for providing the opportunity for a human to human contact between business partners.

Two special subdivisions of the events are ‘Bit 4 Cities’ which is devoted to city breaks or the short trips to cities of interest or capital cities and ‘Bit Venues Locations’ which showcase hotels and historic buildings.
