Tourism is the goldmine for many countries. This sector has a high impact on the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of many nations while others are looking for a way to make it a viable part of their economy. There are various events that bring tourists from across the globe to enjoy the pristine weather and climate of Italy but TTG Incontri is held in high esteem.
TTG Incontri is an international tourism event for B2B exhibition. The event provides an opportunity for the Italian tourism industry representatives to meet with their colleagues and brainstorm on ways to move the industry forward. It is by far the largest tourism fair in the country. Among other things, the fair creates the environment for supply to meet demand. The event also gives visitors the opportunity to analyze current international trends, find out what is new and compare products.
TTG Incontri is the only B2B fair that gives public and private firms to interact one-on-one with qualified international and national tourism companies. It is also the largest marketplace for Italian creativity in the international market.
What Made The 2018 Edition Special?
The 2018 TTG Incontri which held from 10th to 12th of October was special because it happened simultaneously with other major tourism events in the nation including the International Outdoor Exhibition (SUN) and the International Hospitality Exhibition (SIA Guest).
Among all the fairs in the hospitality sector in Italy, SIA is the most complete because it encompasses every aspect of hospitality; from hotel services to technology, interior designs to objects, outdoor furniture to design, and from accessories and supplies to cosmetic products. SUN, on the other hand, has been the reference for campsite, plants, and the outdoor world in the past 35 years.
Other Opportunities Created By This Event
Besides linking the stakeholders in the tourism industry, the section of the event called TBD Italia gave Travel bloggers and vloggers the opportunity to connect with the tourism industry. It was a full three days of opportunity, training, B2B sessions, conferences, entertainment, and networking.
Start-ups in the tourism industry also had a chance to showcase their product to the national and international markets courtesy of the TTG NEXT platform carved out during the 2013 TTG Incontri event. The platform launched in an area measuring 600 m2 is located in the heart of the exhibition.
The TTG NEXT area is made up of free exhibition spaces where startups can display their products. It also has a speaker’s corner so that startups can talk about their project. The corner is also the meeting point of experts and startups to talk about their potential development as well as expose them to potential investors from tourism companies.
The event which had an estimated 72,667 visitors and 2,550 exhibitions was a huge business boost for tour agencies and the hospitality industry. This provides direct and indirect employment opportunities for residents and income for the government.
